Born in the UK, Jim Stoner set up Blue Magic Forge
after a career in design, manufacture, and construction of
stages and sets.
A love for welding and art contribute to his
attention to forging."Distressing, texturing and forging steel is something that appeals to me, as well as adding hammer blows that catch the light, gives the pieces much depth and radiance," said Jim.
The pieces created at Blue Magic Forge are made using traditional blacksmithing techniques and welding. Hot shaped steel with bends and blows give the pieces their own character.
"Stock steel to me is very masculine. Adding a gentle curve or twist brings out the feminine, softening and enhancing the piece. Making something that will last for generations is very satisfying."
Blue Magic Forge is an artist blacksmith shop located in Arroyo Seco.
